# Catchalls

## 📧 Catchall Setup Guide

Catchalls are flexible email addresses that automatically forward any incoming email sent to a random address under your domain (e.g., `anything@yourdomain.com`) to your primary inbox. This is extremely useful when creating mass accounts or automating tasks using Glowie.

### ❓ What Is a Catchall?

A catchall email allows you to create an unlimited number of email addresses under one domain without manually registering each one. You can then receive all emails at a single destination inbox.

This is especially useful for Glowie's modules that require unique emails for each entry or account.

### 🛒 Purchasing a Catchall Domain

1. Go to **IONOS** or any affordable domain registrar.
2. Search for a domain of your choice (e.g., `egglord21232.com`).
3. Make sure it's available and **costs $1/year**.
4. Add it to your cart and complete the checkout process.
5. **Confirm your email** to activate your domain.

> ⚠️ **Important:** Turn off auto-renewal or use a VCC to avoid being charged the full price next year ($17+).

### 📩 Setting Up Email Forwarding (IONOS)

1. Go to the IONOS **Dashboard**.
2. Click **Menu** → **Email**.
3. On the right side under "Email Forward", click **Create**.
4. In the popup:
   * For Email: type `*` (this means "all incoming emails")
   * Choose your purchased domain (e.g., `egglord21232.com`)
   * For Forward Email: enter your **Gmail or catchall inbox** (e.g., `yourname@gmail.com`)
   * Click **Save**

### 🧪 Testing Your Catchall

Send an email to any random address under your domain:

```
example@yourdomain.com
```

Check your Gmail or catchall inbox to make sure the email is received.

If it arrives, your catchall is successfully configured!

* Use your catchall emails when importing to **Database Manager** in Glowie.
* Forward all emails to one trusted inbox (like Gmail).
* Keep your domain active and manage renewals.
